ConocoPhillips has sold off its Trinidad and Tobago gas operation in a $600million deal.
Trinidad and Tobago Holdings, Conoco’s subsidiary in the region, holds a 39% stake in the gas plant and natural gas liquids facility in Port Lisas, Trinidad.
The company has now been bought by the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago.
The move, which will net ConocoPhillips around $290million profit after tax, comes as part of a $14billion sell-off of non-strategic assets.
