US exploration firm Aspect is to farm into the San Leon’s Cybinka and Torzym operations in Poland.
The companies have agreed a letter of intent for Aspect, which already has Eastern European operations in Romania and Poland, to take a 22.5% stake in the Permian Basin concessions.
Aspect will shoulder the costs of two exploration wells looking for oil, the first to be drilled early next year.
“The success of Aspect in the region brings an experienced and successful partner to our conventional exploration program in the Poland’s Permian Basin,” said San Leon chairman Oisin Fanning.
“The two well carry to explore the oil potential of the Main Dolomite in the Cybinka-Torzym Concessions, acquired from Aurelian Oil & Gas, is a great step forward for our exploration activities in Poland.”
