The former head of regulator Ofgas has joined floating production provider BW Offshore as a director.
Clare Spottiswoode, who was director general of the gas industry body during the 90s, joins the Oslo-listed company with immediate effect.
Ms Spottiswoode, who recently joined the Royal Bank of Canada, is a former non-executive director of Tullow Oil and Magnox.
Offshore group BW is the second-largest contractor of floating production vessels in the world, with 14 FPSOs and 1 FSO in operation.
