Oil services company AGR has lured back one of the oil industry’s most well known women to run its operations in Stavanger.
Jorunn Sætre, formerly technology vice president with Halliburton, will return to Norway to head up its rig team and manage the company’s office in Stavanger.
Sætre, formerly Halliburton’s Scandinavian vice president for a decade, was named the oil woman of the year in 2008 by the Stavanger Society of Petroleum Engineers – the first time in 20 years the award had not been presented to a man.
“Jorunn is a very highly regarded figure throughout the oil and gas industry in Norway and around the world and we are delighted she has joined us,” said AGR head for Norway, Sjur Talstad.
“Her experience and expertise will be invaluable to us as leader of our Rig Team in Norway, working to secure rigs and get best rig pricing as part of AGR’s global strategy to help our clients save costs and resources.”
“Jorunn joins our successful Stavanger office at an exciting time, following recent expansions there and a move to new premises in the Forus area.”
