Shell has made a minor gas discovery in the Norwegian Sea – but the well has not proved commercial.
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate confirmed the company, which operates the licence 15km north of the Njord field, had found a thin gas column.
But the find, in the southern Norwegian sea, “is not commercially interesting,” the NPD said.
