Max Petroleum says it has found ‘positive’ results from the latest wells in its Kazakhstan operations.
The company’s SAGW-5 appraisal well in Sagiz West found a 16m net oil play after being drilled to 1395m, with reservoir quality judged to be good.
Meanwhile the UTS-13 appraisal well in the Uytas field looks to have found an 8m oil pay, with excellent quality reservoir after being drilled to 208m.
Max said both wells would be put into test production as soon as practicable, with work now focusing on the UTS-14 appraisal well in the field.
