The head of Wood Group Engineering is to retire next year, after more than six years at the head of the company.
Mike Straughen, who joined Wood Group from Amec in 2007, confirmed he will exit the company in 2014.
Mr Straughen, who ran Amec’s UK operations during a 25 year spell with the services giant, will take oversight of the company’s health and safety operations, replacing current group HSE head Trish Sentance, who is leaving the company.
Wood Group chief executive Bob Keiller will take on direct responsibility for the company’s engineering arm as part of Straughen’s departure, the company confirmed today.
