Kazakhstan-focused oil and gas company Max Petroleum says it has made an “excellent quality” finds at its latest Uytas appraisal well.
The UTS-14 well found eight metres of net oil pay in Cretaceous reservoirs over a 42 metre interval ranging in depths from 115 to 157 metres.
“The company plans to complete the well and place it on test production as soon as practicable,” Max Petroleum said in a statement.
The company has also spudded the UTS-16 appraisal well in the Uytas field as well as the SAGW-6 appraisal well in Sagiz West Field on Block E.
