Industry trade body Energy North has passed a key membership milestone as it looks to drive investment in the region.
Richard Irvin Services is the 200th organisation to join the trade body, which brings together companies across the North and North east of Scotland in the oil and gas, renewable and nuclear industries.
The body, set up with just 30 companies more than a decade ago, launched a new taskforce in July to drive further investment into Inverness and create a second oil and gas hub for Scotland.
The trade body, which extends out to Orkney, Shetland and the Hebrides, is behind the development of a major skills plan for the region.
Services company Richard Irvin joins the likes of Amec, Subsea 7 Moray Council in joining Energy North.
“It is a very exciting time for Energy North and for the Scottish energy industry as a whole, with several major projects currently being progressed across the patch in areas such as the Pentland Firth, Cromarty Firth, the Outer Hebrides and Aberdeen,” said Energy North chief executive Ian Couper.
“We very much look forward to working with the team at Richard Irvin Services Group as we strive to support our members’ aspirations and secure economic growth across the North of Scotland.”
