A sidetrack well drilled from the Trintes Bravo platform has been successfully brought onstream, operator Trinity has confirmed.
The B11 well in the field off Trinidad and Tobago has begun production at a gross rate of 265 barrels of oil per day.
Mud systems in the well will now be upgraded before drilling gets back underway later this year.
“Initial production rates from the B11 well demonstrate the Trintes reservoir ability to deliver,” said Joel Pemberton, chief executive of Trinity.
“The upgrade plan to our rig over the next two months will significantly improve drilling efficiency and we look forward to recommencing our infill drilling programme on Trintes in November 2013.”
The company’s current net production from the field stands at 4,000 boepd.
