Aberdeen-based Mintra Training Portal (MTP) said yesterday it had won new oil and gas contracts worth a total of £12million.
The learning, training and competency solutions provider for the energy sector also said it had doubled employee numbers over the past year amid sustained investment in the business.
MTP now employs 30 people and expects to recruit another five in the medium term.
It said its recent contracts included a multimillion-pound deal to provide training services to a “leading global operator”.
The three-year contract will see MTP deliver more than 100 technical, health and safety courses to several thousand people.
Business development director Sally Finnie said: “Building on the success of the latest contract wins will allow us to pursue our growth strategy and … continue to lead the evolution of oil and gas competency.
“We now have the largest library of oil and gas e-learning courses globally, with over 300 titles available across a broad range of topics. MTP is a joint venture between Norwegian company Mintra and Aberdeen investment firm Enerco Venture.
The business provides training to more than 300,000 people working for more than 300 companies in the oil and gas industry.
