An Aberdeenshire marine equipment specialist is gearing up for a further expansion of its workforce after more than doubling in size over the past year.
Motive Offshore, now based in Boyndie, Banff, started trading in January, 2011, at Cornhill, north of Huntly.
The firm, founded by managing director James Gregg and fellow-director Dave Acton, manufactures and hires modern marine equipment, including winches and associated lifting gear.
Over the past year, its workforce has mushroomed by 33 to 65 employees. It is currently looking to take on a further 20.
Mr Gregg said: “The rate at which Motive Offshore has grown and continues to grow has been phenomenal and this has made it imperative that we continue to expand our workforce.
“We already have nine apprentices and we are looking forward to recruiting a further five to our team.”
