Aberdeen-based EnerQuip is finishing off 2022 strong with nearly $10m of deals secured and a recruitment drive in the works.
The oilfield equipment specialist secured $9.7m of work during Q4, including gains in new markets such as its first-ever contracts in India, worth over $500,000, and Colombia, worth $600,000.
EnerQuip secured $1.3m from the US, which is a more traditional territory for the business, while its service and aftermarket capabilities divisions drew in $2.3m during the quarter.
The firm is a specialist in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of torque machines and associated products.
Headquartered in Aberdeen, EnerQuip has clients in Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
Now seven-years-old, EnerQuip said it is expected to embark upon a recruitment drive, while its recently acquired Diamac Engineering, based in Fife, is expected to increase headcount by 15 roles up to 100 in the coming year.
Global sales and business development boss Darren Bragg said: “Entering into 2022 there was trepidation as to how the year would unfold, given that much of the world, Scotland included, was still under some sort of Covid lockdown guidance.
“As these rules and lockdowns relaxed, it became clear there was a lot of pent-up desire to buy new equipment following two years of stagnation. Demand for our equipment has been evident in existing territories looking to increase oil and gas production as well as new geographic areas, as traditional importers of oil and gas now look to establish energy security for themselves.”
Andrew Robins, managing director of EnerQuip added: “By working hard to increase our foothold in traditional and emerging markets, we have been able to significantly grow our presence in key global locations. It is crucial for us to be positioned close to where our customers operate so that our products and services can be nimble in response to demand, backed by the right expertise to ensure correct, efficient and timely project delivery.”
