Making the most of your time off to gain work experience is key for securing a job in the energy sector, believes an industry graduate.
Glenn Buchan is currently working as a Business Graduate at Aker Solutions – a company he had done a placement with before doing his university degree.
“Before joining Robert Gordon University I worked for a number of oil and gas companies, including Aker Solutions, and had a number of summer work experience and placements,” Buchan told Energy Voice.
“I think, to get the best advantage of securing a graduate job and getting experience, you have to make the most of your time, pre-university and at university, by really utilising your summer holidays.”
