Aberdeen-based logistics firm Peterson has landed a £150,000 contract for Rosetti Marino’s North Sea commission.
The engineering firm’s contract with Total outlines the installation of topsides at Elgin Two and West Franklin platforms.
Peterson is set to provide warehousing, container packing, transport and materials control from Aberdeen harbour to the platforms until summer 2014.
“This is a very prestigious project and we are naturally very pleased to be a part of it through our association with Rosetti Marino,” said Mike Munro, divisional operations manager for Peterson.
“Earlier this year Peterson made a £200,000 investment in developing a bespoke online system, e-Cargo, to streamline quayside services at Aberdeen harbour. That system will be instrumental in delivering all elements of Rosetti Marino’s requirements.
“The delivery of this contract is already underway and we anticipate conclusion in November. However, due to the quality of the service Peterson has provided to date, we hope that there will be scope to extend the agreement to provide additional storage facilities.”
