Oil and gas recruitment specialist Brander has reported a record turnover of £18.5million for 2013.
The Aberdeen-based company, which specialises in engineering and drilling recruitment, has seen 60% growth in the last two years. Success was largely driven by the establishment last year of the company’s Brander Drilling division.
This provides staff to a number of leading drilling companies, the company said.
In the past year the company has doubled its workforce to 16 members of staff, with plans to create further divisions in the future.
“We moved rapidly after the recession to take advantage of the huge growth in the oil and gas industry and, as a result, we invested proportionally large amounts in new technologies and staff training to meet the demand that followed,” said managing director Ian Brander.
“The industry in the north of Scotland, however, faces particularly large recruitment challenges in the years ahead and we need to be nimble enough to meet those head on.”
To continue its growth, the company has set targets to increase its presence in several international markets and plans to spread activities into related sectors such as renewable energy.
“We are also currently expanding our permanent staffing solutions alongside setting a basis for the possible creation of new offices, as we continue this dynamic growth within the coming years,” added Mr Brander.
