Marin Teknikk has designed a new diesel-electric subsea support and construction vessel for Oceaneering International.
It will have a length of 107m and a breadth of 22m and will be equipped with a 250-tonne offshore crane and an arrangement for two unmanned submarines – which will be able to perform operations down to a depth of 4,000m.
The vessel is being built by BAE Systems Southeast Shipyard in the US will be used to augment Oceaneering’s provision of subsea intervention in the US Gulf , including maintenance, repair, projects and hardware installations.
