Organisers of an offshore conference have hailed its impact on the well technology community after a record level of support this year.
The ICoTA conference, organised jointly by the Intervention and Coiled Tubing Association (ICoTA) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen for the 19 year running, attracted its highest number of attendees, its chairs told Energy Voice.
Around 350 delegates had the opportunity to exchange case studies and learn about current trends in well technology from a series of presentations and adjacent exhibition during the two-day event.
“Every year the exhibition here was getting bigger and we have an intervention community in Aberdeen so it’s a great event for getting people together: people that you know but maybe haven’t seen for years and maybe meeting new people into the industry as well to find out about the new, latest technologies that are coming into the market,” said Kelly Murray, co-chair of this year’s conference.
