Aberdeen oil engineering firm Plexus Holdings has secured an extension to its North Sea deal with Centrica for its Pos-Grip wellhead system.
The £850,000 deal, which will start from early next year, will see Plexus supply an additional wellhead system and services for the Grove production well in the Southern North Sea.
Plexus chief executive Ben van Bilderbeek said the deal came as the company looked to expand from exploration drilling into production markets.
“In line with this expansion strategy, we are also actively pursuing the subsea wellhead market where we believe significant commercial opportunities for Plexus exist,” he said.
“We are developing a new and safer subsea wellhead, working alongside six major oil and gas companies and believe we are on track to deliver a transformational best in class subsea wellhead system for the future.”
