Global engineering group Kentz has been awarded a five-year contract at the Samref refinery in Saudi Arabia.
The company will be responsible for general engineering services at the complex crude oil refinery in Yanbu.
The facility is an equally owned joint venture between Saudia Aramco and Mobil Yanbu Refining Company Inc – a wholly owned subsidiary of Exxon Mobil.
Kentz’s local subsidiary – Saudi Arabian Kentz Co – will provide design engineers, technicians, planners and support facility.
This deal comes on the bakc of an £118million award announced yesterday with Qatar Petroleum for its massive Dukhan oilfield.
Kentz will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of wellhead industrial control systems for around 775 wells across the field.
