Norwegian oil and gas project management company Nordhagen Group has moved into the UK after launching an Aberdeen-based branch to serve North Sea firms.
Nordhagen Projects will be headed up by former Transocean European projects controller Douglas Crawford.
Prior to his projects role, Mr Crawford worked in various finance management roles at Transocean and before that held positions with Shell and Amec in the UK.
The new firm will provide project management services for rig owners operating in the UK North Sea area, looking to build on its project management track record from Norway.
The team will initially run as a one-man operation, although Mr Crawford says he hopes to recruit ten people by the end of 2014, and to have a 30-strong team in place within five years.
He says the aim is to emulate the successful model operated in Norway, offering rig owners niche project management services.
