Aberdeen-based Dundas Consultants has launched a new drilling services division after achieving a record turnover of £2.1million in 2013.
The company, which launched in 2011, increased its turnover by more than 90% on 2012.
The new division will be headed up by Andy Sloan from Dart Energy, who has 18 years’ experience in exploration and production.
Dundas is currently on the hunt for senior drilling, completion, intervention and subsea engineers to work at the division.
“The drilling services division will enhance the integrated offering we deliver to our clients,” said Dundas director Richard Woodhouse.
“It will broaden our capabilities when undertaking new development and due diligence projects and provide added value for our customers.”
As well as increasing staff numbers – Dundas currently employs 15 people – the company plans to develop its international business in 2014.
“We are currently making final preparations to open our first operational base outside of the UK,” said Mr Woodhouse.
