Wood Group has been awarded a detailed engineering contract for the White Rose Extension Project in Canada.
Wood Group Mustang Canada will carry out engineering and design of an integrated topsides facility as part of the project off the Newfoundland coast.
The firm’s PSN arm will support the contract with engineering, procurement and regulatory services.
Detailed engineering design of the topsides is scheduled for completion by the first quarter of 2015, and Wood Group says around 135 people will be employed on the combined work team.
Wood Group Mustang Canada and Wood Group PSN carried out front-end engineering design (FEED) for the topsides earlier this year.
“This project is particularly close to the heart of our business, having provided the FEED for the design of the topsides,” said Wood Group Mustang president Steve Knowles.
“We’re delighted to be able to pull in the expertise of Wood Group PSN to support the delivery of this project.
