Subsea engineering firm OneSubsea is set for new management after John Carne announced his retirement for next month.
Carne had served as chief executive since the company was formed via a joint venture between Cameron and Schlumberger last June, after more than 40 years in senior roles with Cameron.
OneSubsea, which has more than 6000 employees around the world, has a substantial presence in Aberdeen, and last year picked up a £300million contract for work on the giant Rosebank project west of Shetland.
Carne will be replaced by the company’s president for production systems, Scott Rowe, who had previously been vice president of Cameron.
“John has been instrumental to our success and has been a valued and respected member of my leadership team,” said Cameron chairman Jack Moore.
“His tremendous experience leading operations across our many business segments has been invaluable. He has shown a tireless commitment to our customers and has helped develop strong leaders that will support our business for many years to come.”
