Independent subsea engineering and training firm Jee will send its tutors to deliver its courses to the Korean offshore industry, following the signing of a memorandum.
The agreement sets out the provision of Jee’s subsea training to the Korea Offshore & Shipbuilding Association (KOSHIPA)’s member companies, including Hyundai, Samsung and Daewoo.
“As KOSHIPA represents 90% of the global shipbuilding industry, this is a fantastic opportunity for Jee to expand its geographical horizons and share its training knowledge further afield,” said Jenny Matthew, head of courses at Jee.
“Our tutors will be delivering training to strengthen KOSHIPA’s members’ subsea skills base, and we look forward to learning more about the processes and development needs of KOSHIPA and its member organisations.”
The Aberdeen-based firm, who has been training the global oil and gas industry for 18 years, has built up a portfolio of 25 subsea engineering courses, having trained close to 6,000 professional engineers across 32 countries to date.
