Aberdeen engineering firm Hydrus has invested £200,000 on upgrades to its manufacturing plant in Brechin following a record quarter at the end of 2013.
The firm says it ended 2013 on a high note, with £3.5million worth of contracts, projects and orders from the subsea sector in the final quarter of the year.
This has fuelled theupgrade to its manufacturing plant and a rise in staff numbers to 50.
“We are delighted that we secured these significant contracts in the subsea engineering sector, both in the UK and overseas, in the final quarter of last year and our order book is looking very strong for 2014,” said managing director Martin Anderson.
