Downhole isolation firm Meta has helped a North Sea project triple its output.
The Aberdeen firm landed two further contracts from the unnamed Norwegian operator for the project after successfully deploying its reconnect casing system on a North Sea well.
A life-of well solution, which retained the integrity of the well, was established with Meta cutting the existing well casing and replacing it with a new one to realign the wellhead.
The project is estimated to have tripled production from the well, and is set to boost output by around $270million (£160million) this year.
“These three projects highlight the benefits of this technology, from tripling production and minimising downtime to sustaining profitability for the long term.” said chief executive Kevin Stewart.
