Wood Group PSN has won its first major contract of the year – securing a $500million (£300million) contract with Talisman Sinopec Energy UK.
Under the contract the energy services giant will provide engineering and modifications services to Talisman’s 11 UK offshore assets in the North Sea, as well as the onshore Flotta oil terminal on Orkney.
“We have worked with this key client for 10 years and this award is testament to the relationship we have developed,” said Dave Stewart, UK managing director of Wood Group PSN.
“Our Talisman Sinopec Energy UK project now employs 1,300 personnel onshore and offshore making it one of the largest projects in our global portfolio.
“Securing this contract is a great way to kick off 2014.”
The new agreement allows for additional two two-year extensions. It accompanies the firm’s other contract with Talisman, covering provision of operations and maintenance services to the same 12 assets.
