North-east oil and gas companies are being asked to voice their opinions on operating in the North Sea.
Views are being sought from operators and contractors for the 20th industry survey, being carried out by Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC).
Firms will be asked to give their views on the competitiveness of working in the UK Continental Shelf, following the publication of the Wood Review last week.
The report revealed operating costs have risen by more than 15% in the past year, while some rig rates have doubled in the past three years.
Respondents will also be asked to share their thoughts on business optimism as well as whether or not they are in support of Scottish independence.
Launched in 1996, the biannual study is conducted by the Fraser of Allander Institute and sponsored by law firm Bond Dickinson.
“It is stating the obvious to say that we are in a critical and fascinating time for the industry,” said AGCC research and policy director James Bream.
“This research comes at a time when testing the sentiment and feelings of the industry on factors like the Wood Review and the referendum debate will be of interest to business, government and a wider range of stakeholders.”
Results from the survey, which was sent out to business leaders today, will be published at the end of May.
