Aberdeenshire artificial lift specialist RMS-pumptools plans to create 10 new jobs this year after a £3.5million investment in the business.
The Oldmeldrum-based firm, which provides artificial lift completion products and electric submersible pump accessory tools to the oil industry, says the investment is part of its growth strategy to meet market demand.
RMS plans to spend £2million on developing new technology, and £1.5million on expanding its premises with a new 12,000 square-foot warehouse at its base in Oldmeldrum.
This will lead to the creation of at least 10 new jobs this year, building on the 110-strong workforce.
“With the increasing costs associated with oil recovery, the demand for technically advanced, high-performing products that perform effectively for the life of the completion is increasingly being accepted as the optimal value proposition when budgeting,” said managing director Stan Foster-Rooke.
