Accomodation rig supplier Prosafe’s Safe Bristolia unit is to make a North Sea detour this summer after agreeing a multi-million pound deal to stop off at the Judy platform.
The support vessel will make a four month stop alongside the platform, which serves one of the largest North Sea discoveries in the last decade.
The £5million boost to the vessel’s work schedule for the year will add an extra 24 days work onto its programme, before the Bristolia is relocated to support BG Group’s Everest platform for a three month spell.
The Cypriot firm confirmed it had also secured an extension on the Safe Astoria, which has been serving a 60-day contract with Swiber, has been extended by a further 43 days, netting an extra £2.8m for the company.
