An Aberdeen-based integrity management firm has won a deal in Africa believed to be worth more than £1million.
XPD8 Solutions has built on its recent success in West Africa and landed new work off the coast of Ghana.
Over 18 months the company will develop the maintenance programme and inventory data for Modec’s Ten MV25 floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, operated on behalf of Tullow Oil.
XPD8, headquartered in Aberdeen, has seen its international reach grow over 12 months to cover Europe, South East Asia and Africa.
XPD8’s project office in London will deliver the Ghana contract. The firm is set to increase staff in the city from six to eight. The company currently employs around 50, most located in Aberdeen.
Scott Morrison, XPD8 London project manager, said: “We have worked with both Tullow Oil and Modec in the past and we look forward to continuing and building upon what have been successful partnerships.
“Our service is focused on improving clients’ asset performance. We work closely with our clients to develop maintenance activities to support safe operations.”
