Subsea Controls firm Advantec Aberdeen has won a multimillion-pound contract from Nexen for work on its Golden Eagle Area Development project.
Launched just two years ago, Advantec said the deal to design, manufacture and deliver an “intervention work over control system”, along with a separate five year services contract, was “significant” for the firm.
Managing director Steve King said: “The service contract that goes hand in hand with the manufacturing contract also shows the capabilities that we have to meet the service requirements for Nexen.
“These contracts will allow Advantec Aberdeen to create much valued and skilled jobs for the local area and oil industry.’
