Oilfield engineering group Aker Solutions has appointed HSBC’s former oil and gas equity research co-head to lead its industry and investor relations.
David Phillips will be based at Aker’s London office when he starts in his new role on June 17.
He joined HSBC as an analyst in 2005 to then become the bank’s managing director in mid-2011.
He previously worked as an analyst for the chemicals sector for other banks including Commerzbank, Morgan Stanley and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.
