Renewables investment fund Greencoat UK has signed agreements over two wind farm developments, worth nearly £100million, increasing its net generating capacity to 226.4MW.
The deal covers the purchase of Kildrummy wind farm from BayWa for £43.3million and Maerdy wind farm from Velocita Energy Developments for £52.9million.
Kildrummy is located in Aberdeenshire and has a capacity of 18.4 MW and a forecast net load factor of 35.7%. Maerdy is located in the Rhonda Valley in South Wales and has a capacity of 24 MW and a net forecast load factor of 32.2%.
The transactions are expected to complete on June 30.
