UK onshore-focused explorer Egdon Resources has appointed the chief executive of its shareholder Alkane Energy as non-executive director.
Neil O’Brien brings in 20 years of management experience to Egdon’s board, including a decade as finance director at Speedy Hire, contributing to a growth in revenue to £450million in his final year with the company, in 2008.
Power generator Alkane Energy holds around 18% interest in Egdon.

“Neil brings a wealth of valuable experience to the company, particularly in the UK energy sector.
