Aberdeen-based oil and gas services company First Integrated Solutions is celebrating £7million of inward-investment in the last six months in a client open day this week.
The business, which comprises five divisions – lifting and inspection, plant and tooling, lifeboats and marine, winches and deck machinery, and crane maintenance and management – came to life when First Time, owned by multimillionaire Ian Suttie, acquired Global Integrated Services in February this year.
The investments in the half-year period included £2.5million towards a new headquarters’ building in Aberdeen’s Bridge of Don, as well as £4.5million towards expanding the firm’s fleet of rental equipment.
“This year has been one of major change for the business,” said Michael Gough, commercial director of First Integrated Solutions.
“With new ownership, management changes, significant levels of investment, our move to new premises in Aberdeen and opening a site in Great Yarmouth, we are a different business, one that is more robust and well-rounded.
“In addition to opening our Great Yarmouth base we have recently signed agency agreements in Holland and Norway, meaning we have an improved presence in all sectors of the North Sea.”
During the open days will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, July 2-3, the visitors will be able to speak to First Integrated Solutions’ divisional personnel and supply chain, and view the company’s new facilities and equipment, the firm added.
