Aberdeenshire energy service firm Proserv has appointed two new vice presidents in a bid to strengthen its position for further global growth.
Bruce Stuart is joining the firm as vice president of sales and business development for Europe and West Africa (EWA) from his role as UK and Canada sales and marketing manager at FMC Technologies.
While Proserv’s former vice president of commercial Paul Douglas has been promoted to the role of vice president of operations. He will take overall responsibility for two of Proserv’s Aberdeenshire facilities – the Birchmoss test and assembly hub and its Kintore-based marine technology centre.
“Through continuous investment in our people, technologies and facilities, we have significantly enhanced our capabilities and reinforced our suite of value-added services to support client projects globally,” said Brian Kinsey, Proserv’s region president for EWA.
“Paul has an excellent track record with more than 16 years of international commercial experience in the industry and is well placed to lead the continued growth of two of our Aberdeenshire operations.
“Bruce also brings an impressive wealth of experience and has a dual role in that he will oversee the sales team for the region and support the continued expansion of our subsea production solutions offering globally.”
Earlier this year, Proserv took over KRG Industries, based in Coatbridge and Stockton-on-Tees, increasing its test, manufacturing and service capabilities in the region.
The acquisition followed the purchase of Australian subsea intervention form Velocious and US company Total Instrumentation & Controls in 2013 and late 2012 respectively.
