Texas-based asset management company Geoforce has set up its first European headquarters by opening an office in Aberdeen.
The company has appointed Chris Gorman, former sales manager for the North Sea region at a cargo unit manufacturer Suretank, as its business manager for the United Kingdom.
He will be responsible for marketing the Geoforce’s range of GPS tracking devices and software to the offshore oil and gas market.
“To continue our strategy of having a local presence in the critical oil and gas markets around the world, establishing a Geoforce footprint in the North Sea became our top priority,” said James MacLean, president and chief executive of Geoforce.
“Mr. Gorman knows the European offshore oil and gas market intimately through his years of experience there, and is well suited to lead our efforts.”
