Aberdeen firm Hunting Energy Services has secured $18million worth of Far East contracts as the company targets further global expansion.
The contracts cover the supply of wireline services to a number of clients in Asia Pacific, including Malaysian firm Deleum Oilfield Services, which will be manufactured by Hunting’s UK and US divisions.
“Hunting Energy Services has built its reputation through its work in the North Sea but our reach has grown considerably in recent years and our presence in the Asia Pacific region is key to the growth strategy we are following,” said Stewart Barrie, Asia Pacific well intervention region manager for Hunting.
“The deal with Deleum demonstrates our ability to make an impact in the Far East, a contract win which was supported by our excellent track record for innovation and quality.
“Those are strengths which are vital as we seek to grow the business internationally.”
