Pacific Energy Development has completed the drilling of three back-to-back wells and has started work on a second trio of wells.
The Wattenberg Asset, the Loomis 2-1H well was finished earlier this month, which reached a 6,287 foot vertical depth and 4,165 foot total lateral length through the Niobrara ‘B’ Bench, with B bench chalk present across the well. The well’s thickness is roughly 45 feet and drill cuttings from the well bore confirmed highly prolific oil rich reservoir rock.
The second batch of wells, Loomis 2-3H well are now under way. These wells will be drilled from a single pad at an estimated cost of $4.2million per well. When they are complete, each of the first two wells is to receive an 18 stage enhanced frac treatment, while the third will receive a 28 stage enhanced frac treatment.
Pacific Energy Development expects completion of these wells toward the end of October.
