Aberdeenshire-based Fisher Offshore has expanded into Asia after establishing a new facility in Singapore.
The Singapore operations centre and workshop will be supported by the company’s head offices in Scotland.
Managing director Jack Davidson said: “We have an ambitious growth strategy and harnessing opportunities in the Far East is an important part of that. Fisher Offshore has been active in the region for a number of years and, with demand for equipment steadily rising and forecasts for that trend to continue, we are confident now is the time to establish a permanent presence.
“As an Aberdeen-based company, the North Sea will always be an integral part of our business but we recognise the importance of broadening our horizons.”
The office opening follows £3million of inward investment to build up the firm’s equipment and rental fleet.
