Leni Gas and Oil (LGO) has spudded the seventh well of its 30-well Goudron development in Trinidad.
The drilling began on GY-670 on 28 October and has reached a depth of at least 3,100 feet, which was less than expected and will be deviated approximately 600 feet northwest from the surface location.
Its final section, which was drilled in 8 ½-inch hole, has now been cased to TD and is ready for completion as a production well.
Well GY-699, which spudded earlier this month, will be completed later this year.
Neil Ritson, LGO’s chief executive, said: “Well seven is now underway and we are analyzing the results of well number six, GY-669, which is another successful well with considerable net pay. Reservoir pressures of up to 2,580 psi were measured near TD; the highest we have yet seen, and this may have major benefits for future production from this part of the field.”
