Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) will continue its work on an offshore Canadian platform in a multi-million dollar deal.
The company has been awarded a five-year contract extension for its engineering, procurement and construction services to the Hibernia platform.
Hibernia Management and Development Company Ltd (HMDC) awarded the contract for work on the platform, which is offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.
Tim O’Leary, president of Wood Group PSN Canada, said: “The extension of our contract to provide services for the Hibernia platform is evidence of the continued high level of service we have demonstrated and of the confidence this key client has in our team.”
The company added that since first oil was discovered in the region in 1997, the contract had been a “cornerstone” for the WGPSN business in the region.
Hibernia was the first producing oil field off Canada’s East Coast.
Wood Group PSN is one of the largest brownfield engineering and construction offices in Atlantic Canada with more than 500 people working onshore and offshore.
