The Bridon Group has acquired the Norwegian-based moorings business of ScanRope from the Parker Hannifin Corporation.
The company’s head offices are based in Doncaster which operated across a number of sectors including oil and gas, mining, construction and fishing.
ScanRope is a Norwegian based manufacturer of both steel and fibre deep water mooring systems.
Jonathan Templeman, chief executive of Bridon, said:“This is an exciting development for both businesses.
“The acquisition will strengthen Bridon and ScanRope’s position in steel systems and will make us the market leader in this area.
“It will also give Bridon an offering with customers demanding fibre moorings.”
