Subsea products and equipment manufacturer Ennsub has finished sealing work on a platform in Australia.
The Aberdeen head-quartered firm worked on the design, manufacture, testing and installation and sealing systems for the Wheatstone Liquefied Natural Gas platform off the Australian coast.
A total of 128 sealing systems were fixed on the platform after a factory-acceptance test programme which simulated offshore conditions.
This approach replaced a solution being considered by the end user and enabled the company to complete to project in half of its allocated time.
Scott Macknocher, managing director, said: “We are very pleased with the success of the operation and performance of both the equipment and our experienced offshore technicians.
“The solution significantly reduced the planned installation time and had major cost saving benefits for the end user.
“This project is an excellent example of our capability to deliver bespoke solutions on similar projects.”
