OEM Diesel Products has invested a six figure sum in a base in Australia to meet market demand.
The Aberdeen-based firm opened the office in St George’s Terrace in Perth, Australia.
In Aberdeen, the company recently moved to its new base at the Commerce Centre at Souterhead Road, Altens. The building, which spans more than 6000 sq ft includes a workshop, reception area, additional offices and boardroom.
OEM’s Dyce building in the Kirkhill Industrial estate is now being used to provide additional storage facilities for its clients.
The company recently signed a co-working agreement with the IPU Group to combine OEM’s servicing of generator sets with IPU’s work with non-electric engine starting, long-term maintenance of stored fuel and extending the life of engine oil and hydraulic fluids.
Managing director, Barry Park, said: “OEM continued to experience growth throughout 2014, and market demand for our new fuel conditioning systems made our decision to open the base in Australia relatively easy.
“As the company continues to grow, so too does our search for additions to our quality workforce. We plan to secure the services of a further six new members of staff in the very near future.
“Our long term plan is to build the business across Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, and the Middle East. 2015 is definitely set to continue to be an exciting year for the company.”
