Rose Petroleum has completed drilling the State 1-34 Mancos well in Utah.
The was spudded at the end of last year and has now been mobilised to to verify the the value of the discovered hydrocarbon.
Production tests will now be completed before commercialisation begins.
A smaller rig was used for cost efficiency to reach its total depth target.
Rose Petroleum owns 165,000 gross acres in the Mancos play in the Uinta Basin and ore than 245,000 acres collectively between the Uinta and the adjacent Paradox play.
