An offshore worker has been airlifted to hospital from a North Sea platform after taking ill.
The crewman was working on the Forties Bravo oilfield, 110 miles east of Aberdeen when he began to feel unwell at around 10am.
A spokesman for the coastguard said the helicopter took the man straight to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
He added: “It was not clear what was wrong with the worker so we arranged from him to be taken to ARI as quickly as possible.
“He arrived at ARI at around 1.30pm.”
The Forties Oil Field is the largest oil field in the North Sea and owned by Apache.
Another worker was taken to hospital from the Tiffany platform earlier this month.
