Hundreds of jobs could be secured after energy services firm Cape secured a two-year contract extension with oil major BP.
The deal, for work in the North Sea, is worth an estimated $153million.
Cape will supply a range of services to six BP assets in the North Sea.
The contract win could secure up to 500 new jobs.
The company’s chief executive Joe Oatley said:”We are delighted to be awarded this further contract by BP, which will allow us to continue to invest in our people through our apprentice, intern and graduate programmes.
“Cape has a longstanding relationship with BP and we look forward to continuing to work with this important client to deliver our critical industrial services across their assets in the North Sea.”
Cape supplies scaffolding, insulation, industrial cleaning and fire protection services to oil and gas power plant operators.
